NSF-MSF Coronavirus Update

To all NSF-MSF Players, Coaches, Managers, Umpires, Referees, Parents and Fans:

As COVID-19 continues to affect our daily life, with no certain end date in sight, we have received many phone calls, emails and messages regarding our remaining winter tournaments, as well as our spring and summer programs.

At this time, our plan is to have NSF-MSF activities resume as soon as possible once the government approves organized activities.

On the Winter/Spring front, our State Broomball and Boy’s Basketball tournaments were held on the first full weekend of March, but all events since then have been cancelled/postponed, with more than 700 teams left on the sidelines. We are still hopeful girls volleyball and some adult volleyball state tournaments will be held by playing into June. We are attempting to reschedule volleyball tournament dates and sites, and will keep registered teams updated as we continue to do so.

Softball umpire clinics will be online this Spring, and umpires will be sent a link to the video soon. Softball District Meetings are cancelled for this year and many league directors have told us they will be going with a summer-fall season this year, or two somewhat abbreviated early and later seasons. Team membership materials are available for shipping and will be sent upon receipt of team membership forms and fees. The team membership fee remains at the bargain fee of just $15 per team and includes membership Bag Tag, large lie-flat Scorebook/Rulebook and Softball Program Guidebook. Membership in the NSF-MSF program continues to provide superior benefits and lower cost than other organizations. League Directors should not order their materials until they know the exact number of teams they will have.

Please stay tuned to our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/MinnesotaSportsFederation) for the latest updates on NSF-MSF program activity.

Thank You and Stay Safe and Well!
