Mitby-Sather Company – Minneapolis
Ted Sather of the Mitby-Sather Furniture Company of Minneapolis sponsored softball in the 1930s and ’40s. He was a fine supporter of amateur sports in Minneapolis.
His teams competed in the better leagues in Minneapolis, winning many championships. They also played exhibition games throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Some of the players that competed with Mitby-Sather’s included: Cully Dahlstrom, George Suerth, Rollie Trust, Eddie O’Brien, Joe Glenn, Ray Mercer, and Jack Berendt.
Ted Sather enjoyed softball and the fellowship it brought the players and fans.
