Minnesota Girls Volleyball Association

On behalf of the Minnesota Girls Volleyball Association (MGVA) board of directors and staff, welcome to the most exciting Minnesota Girls Volleyball Association season to date. In our 34th year of providing opportunities to youth volleyball participants throughout the state, we have again expanded our services to meet your needs! See Tournament Information for more information.

We are again pleased to present our team membership program that will enable your team to become part of the least expensive and fastest growing youth volleyball organization in the state of Minnesota. The development of the Minnesota Girls Volleyball Association membership program is based on our desire to conduct a first class, inexpensive program that meets the needs of your team and provides you with exceptional services and membership benefits.

The Minnesota Girls Volleyball Association provides you with many benefits including medical accident and team liability insurance, tournament competition and much, much more.

Again this year, is the opportunity to sanction your invitational tournament with the Minnesota Girls Volleyball Association. Sanctioning your event with the Minnesota Girls Volleyball Association will help your team/organization realize increased revenue for your cause based on your ability to obtain a great tournament benefit package for minimal expense.

Prior to the beginning of tournament play, should an MSF-owned and operated event need to be postponed to a later date (within 90 days of the original dates), there shall be no refund to teams that cannot play on the rescheduled date.

Prior to the beginning of tournament play, should an event have to be cancelled entirely, teams will receive a credit on the following year’s entry fee for the same event. The amount of the credit will be the original entry fee minus administrative/programming work already performed (i.e., salaries/independent contractors, website, program guides, rulebooks, promotion, flyers, postage, scheduling, rent, telephone, etc.).

Once a tournament has begun and a cancellation occurs (and the tournament cannot be rescheduled to be held within 90 days of the original tournament dates), no monetary credits will be provided to teams that did not receive the minimum number of games guaranteed unless money has been returned from the site in the form of unpaid umpire/referee fees, unused game equipment, and awards. The amount credited shall be distributed equally to teams that did not get their minimum game guarantee.

The growth of the Minnesota Girls Volleyball Association youth volleyball state tournament program can be attributed to our use of quality MSHSL registered officials for every game, playing in top notch volleyball facilities, our superior awards and medals and our experienced tournament staff.

The goal of the Minnesota Girls Volleyball Association program is to provide inexpensive, positive sport experiences to every individual that is interested in the great game of volleyball. Be a part of what thousands of participants have already experienced, a program that promotes an atmosphere in which youth can have fun and excel at their chosen sport while developing confidence, leadership skills, team cohesion and lifelong sports skills. The Sports Federation is looking forward to your teams’ participation.

We wish you the best during the current season!
